Spirit of Survival

A book by Gail Sheehy, 80's

An orphan girl, Mohm, from Cambodia, her family was killed by the Khmer Rouge military, adopted by the author, story told of her journey. Reminded me of JC Trom, a girl from Korea, adopted by Trom family of Apple Valley, I met while our familys were camping at Black River Falls campground, I showed her the night falling stars sparkling and sleeping fish with eyes open.
(Saya masih rindu dia.)

To Mohm, Jacee, orphans, I wrote a song, some lyrics:

Wings Prayers & Teddy Bears

without sons & fathers:
can you hear the thunder
in a little girls' tears?
can you mend her broken heart
and soothe all her fears?

without mothers & daughters:
it would be hard to find a trace
of a smile on a little boys face
without mothers & daughters
amazing grace

without brothers & sisters:
they carry us around
before putting us down
make us reach out for the stars
yet keep our feet on the ground

Good Song

I remember riding on the looooong highway from Los Angeles, California to Phoenix, Arizona, while I worked on a carnival summer job with the Kastl crew, setting up, slawing, testing and operating the High Miler roller coaster, for the Arizona State Fair, during the really hot summer days. (Also did the swinging musical chairs and the twirling teacups for the kiddos http://www.kastlamusements.com/rides/rides.asp)

One song, by Sixpence None The Richer, was Kiss Me, which I heard while riding in the truck (lorry) cab. I also got to enjoy listening to them at a live performance, that was sweet. Simple song, heartfelt.

Matt Slocum wrote the song for his wife. Pretty neat. I'm hoping and praying I will soon have a lady to write songs for n dance with n dive with n marry, and other important stuff like changing baby's diapers and monthly sore-back scrubs and pampering during the irritable times. (and teach her to swim and float to prevent drowning) Sabar siket. InsyaAllah.

[Bearded barley is Russian grain (mcm beras), see the "whiskers" on the seed pod 1/2 way down the page here: linky]

lirik lagu Kiss Me

Kiss me out of the bearded barley. Lightly, beside the green, green grass.
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step. You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

CHORUS
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight. Lead me out on the moonlit floor.
Lift your open hand. Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance, silver moon's sparkling. So kiss me.

Kiss me down by the broken tree house. Swing me high upon its hanging tire.
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat. We'll take the trail marked on your father's map.

oh nose!

In east Asian countries, many ladies get eyelid surgery, to make extra fold.

In Thailand, Indonesia many ladies have surgery to make bigger nose.

In Iran, many ladies have surgery to make smaller nose.

In Britain, other cosmetic surgeries are common, in US botox too.

European hymen surgery

Female circumcision surgery

I hadn't heard of this cosmetic non-surgical botox technique for reducing the protruding north Chinese 'square jaw' to a smoother cheek profile as in pic.

Different shapes and sizes. Plastic surgery to correct physical problems is one thing, but if only to make copies of famous people's noses is a bit ridiculous I think. But what do I know, I'm just a guy. Like I said to a friend, a girl is never more beautiful than when she is naked and leaving her mums tummy to join us. There is no makeup necessary, just a breath of fresh air and a little crying. Is she a hollywood model? No, she's a chubby wrinkly little mess, with a funny shaped skull and toothless and almost bald, some vernix and lanugo. Beautiful, eh? :) yup.

insyallah, i will be blessed too with a gift like that. alhamdulillah. peace be with you.

cerita cinta

he: Come out to see the real world
she: Come in to see my real world
he: You know that's just a fairytale
she: I invite you to join it. (^_^)
he: How can I? I'm a realist! (~_~)
she: Don't you love me?
he: Yes, more than anything
she: Am I not real?
he: You are the most real to me
she: And you are waiting for..?
he: You are confined by many nonsense rules & rituals!
she: Confined? Or protected?
he: (mouth open, dizzy) apo ?
she: Don't you love me?
he: only.
she: Then why you became quiet?
he: I wasn't trained to believe stories about flying horses and unicorns
she: What do you mean
he: The old story books. I study real nature. There is no God...
she: ...but Allah.
he: I need you to remind me. Where was He when I suffered so bad?
she: I was also not there. Am I not real?
